  • Where do I Tap

    Tap your card on the contactless unit located on a separate pole beside the main charger unit.

  • My card wont tap / charge wont start

    This has got to do with the plugs timing out.

    Please take the charger out of the car, wait 5 seconds and plug back in. Tap the reader, check the main screen, it will go from “connected” to “initializing” to “charging”.

    Please try a second card if one card does not work. Some bank cards such as business credit cards may not work immediately.

  • Starting your charge is easy!

    1. Plug your car in to any of the chargers

    2. Tap your card on the credit card reader located on the pole beside the main unit.

    3. The charge will automatically start.

    4. To stop charge, tap your card again on the reader. You don’t need to do anything else!

  • No app - no worries - Tap and Pre Auth

    1. Plug the charging cable in to car

    2. Tap your pay card on the card reader located on the pay terminal pole

    3.The system will take a Pre Authorisation hold of €45 from your card

    4. The charge will automatically START

    5. Check the car is charging on screen

    6. STOP CHARGING by tapping your card on the card reader once more

    Example; PreAuth €45 / Charge.€30 / …..€45 hold released / €30 transaction

    Your final transaction charge as well as the release of the pre auth hold showing in your bank statement may be delayed at weekends.

  • Overstay fees €10

    Overstay fees apply of €10 over 60 mins. We believe this to be a fair offer to ensure everyone gets fair access to the charger.

  • Use Our App

    Download the Fuuse App from your app store and add your personal details and your card details. This allows you to log all of your charging sessions and get VAT receipts.

    It is very easy to select the charger number and once your car is plugged in you can use the app to start or end your charge.

  • Parking Restriction

    We are located in an extremly busy retail park so you can’t park in the space while the car is not charging.

    Feel free to enjoy the amenities in the area but please make sure you are back at your car by the time your battery is full.

    We will allow a discretionary grace period.

    If your car is parked in one of our charging spots and not charging for a significant period, our parking enforcement partners may clamp you but also may need to relocate your car to another location as a last resort.

  • Speed of charge

    The Galway Retail Park site shares 199kw.

    Depending on your car’s import capacity it is possible to achieve speeds of up to 199kw but only where you are the sole car at the station. Where multiple cars are charging the total is divided between the number of cars.

    The state of charge will have a significant bearing on how fast a charge you get from a Brite charger. In testing we have seen a car achieving 185kw at 10% charge, the same car achieved 48kw when at 70% charge.
